**Job will close when there is a sufficient pool of qualified candidates for interview** The Governor's Office of Energy Development (OED)is seeking a part-time (20 hours per week) Energy Efficiency and Renewable Energy Fellow (EERE Fellow) to provide support to the following programs and initiatives: energy efficiency,renewable energy,alternative fuels,emergency management,and energy education. As needed,the EERE Fellow will also provide support across the office and its programs. The position will last for at least 3 months. Specifically,the EERE Fellow will report directly to the Managing Director for Energy Efficiency and Renewable Energy. In addition,the EERE Fellow will be expected to provide the following support services: Participate in and help organize education and outreach efforts Learn and provide technical assistance to OED's incentive programs,particularly the Renewable Energy Systems Tax Credit Collect data from the EERE Team and compile data for federal and state reports Manage calendars and arrange meetings Ideal Candidate The ideal EERE Fellow candidate has strong verbal and written communication skills and an educational or work background in energy. They must demonstrate a willingness to learn,proactively develop areas of improvement and growth for the office,and manage different tasks on tight deadlines with a high attention to detail. Preferably,the EERE Fellow has a Bachelor's degree in engineering,public policy,or a related field. The EERE Fellow will be expected to work professionally with individuals across the office,from junior up through senior staff. Since OED,is an "all-of-the-above" office that advances conventional,renewable,and advance energy systems,the EERE Fellow must be comfortable supporting all forms of energy and minerals. The Agency The Governor's Office of Energy Development (OED) was established in 2011 per the recommendation of Governor Herbert's 10-Year Strategic Energy Plan. The mission of the office is to advance all forms of energy and minerals development throughout Utah using education and outreach,policy,and industry assistance. In fulfilling this mission,OED develops and executes programs,events,and incentive programs.
