Seeking experienced professionals focused on providing high value base operations mission services.

Summary

The Utilities & Energy Manager will be dedicated to managing the core functions of utilities and energy for all aspects of NAS Patuxent River Public Works Department maintenance and operation support services. They will ensure compliance for all contract operations for the following locations: Naval Air Station, (Patuxent River, Maryland), Webster Field Annex, St. Inigoes, Maryland; Solomon's Annex, Solomon's, Maryland; and Point Lookout, Maryland. The Utilities & Energy Manager’s responsibilities are: to ensure contractor operations adhere to the goals and policies of the Installation Energy Plan, make sure the utility systems are operational and maintained to meet mission needs, and meet the other specified Sustainability requirements affecting this contract.

Job Duties

Shall develop, implement, and monitor environmental strategies, policies, and programs that promote sustainable development and examine the contract activities to establish where improvements can be made

Ensure compliance with environmental legislation and energy policy

Ensure the utility system are operational and maintained to meet the installation mission and adheres to the policies of the DoD and installation utility requirements

Shall implement and monitor utility policies and regulations

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications

Shall have a minimum two years of recent experience with energy procedures similar to those of this contract

Possess a knowledge of energy regulations and federal energy regulations and federal energy laws and policy (including energy and water reduction requirements and renewable energy requirements) that are applicable to operations similar to those of this contract

Demonstrate a minimum of two years of recent experience with utility systems similar to a DoD Base Operations Support Contract

Demonstrate a familiarity with regulations, laws, and policy that are applicable to utility operations similar to those of this contract
