Commercial Energy Program Implementation Lead
Location- Los Angeles, CA
ICF is seeking a Program Implementation Lead to sell and manage work in our Commercial Energy Division. The candidate will provide sales, account development, and program delivery related services primarily in support of energy efficiency and other distributed energy programs offered by utilities and other program administrators. The geographic focus of the position will be Southern California.
The candidate will be responsible for identifying new opportunities to offer energy efficiency, demand response, and related DER programs, identification and prioritization of target accounts, identification of RFP timing, collection of competitive intelligence, and support of the capture and proposal development processes. Of key importance will be the development of extensive personal relationships with target accounts and the early introduction of ICF services and subject matter experts. The position will report to ICF region leadership and will be responsible for delivery work won. The measures of success for this position will be incremental sales of program implementation services and delivery excellence thereafter.
Previous technical and/or sales expertise with energy efficiency, demand response, or distributed energy resources is required.
Building and maintaining relationships with utility and third-party program administrator clients
Promoting ICF program and consulting services, including development of targeted value propositions
Developing, qualifying and nurturing sales leads and playing a leadership role in pipeline development and tracking
Delivering programs sold to clients and helping others in the region to deliver excellence to their clients.
Maintaining strong ongoing relationships with clients, regulatory agencies and other market actors
Contributing to ICF s national industry presence at conferences and through support of marketing activities
Collecting competitive intelligence
Contributing to the development of new products and services
Bachelor s Degree (preferably in the Sciences, Engineering, or Business related subject)
15 years of experience with sales or consulting, preferably selling energy efficiency, demand response, or distributed resource programs to utilities.
Proven sales record and ability to meet sales goals
Demonstrated capabilities in building and maintaining relationships with clients key market allies
Experience personally overseeing the delivery of related programs, either as a consultant or as a client
Experience with the commercial and industrial programs and services
Knowledge of advanced topics in energy efficiency, DR, and DER program planning and policy
Extensive existing relationship with potential client
Extensive knowledge and involvement in the California energy efficiency regulatory and legislative processes(e.g. CPUC, CEC, CARB)
