Energy Market Advisor
To promote NYPA’s interests in matters related to enhancements to the design of the Wholesale Electric Markets in the Northeast. These positions are responsible for contributing to the formulation of NYPA positions on varied market matters on working groups within the Governance of the organized markets and at FERC. These positions interact with members of the NYISO AND PJM governance. These positions require independence and on-the-spot decision making in order to respond appropriately to the changing dynamics of issues.
Day-to-day representation of NYPA in external stakeholder discussion and collaboration on issues of mutual interest at the NYISO, PJM and FERC
Day-to-day monitoring of FERC filings and assessment and identification of recommended NYPA action
Represent NYPA as determined by the Senior Director Market Issues on stakeholder Working groups.
Day-to-day monitoring of evolving changes in wholesale market rules including New England and PJM ISO’s
Bachelor’s degree in economics, mathematics, computer science, engineering or the equivalent
Minimum of 10 years of utility experience and a thorough working knowledge of wholesale market design in the Northeast
