Position Summary:

This position is responsible for producing new business and servicing existing accounts.

List of Essential Duties:

  • Prospect for new clients by networking within the community and industry, seeking referrals from existing clients, and partnering with Branch Managers to identify new opportunities.

  • Establish and maintain a deep knowledge-base on core coverage lines, risk management solutions and insurance products.

  • Articulate the client value proposition in a manner that distinguishes Arthur J Gallagher & Co.'s capabilities and approach from the competition.

  • Effectively qualify opportunities and pursue those with a high probability of success.

  • Develop and maintain a deep understanding of clients business needs and leverage the vast network of Gallagher Industry and Niche Experts to serve these needs.

  • Proactively engage existing clients by anticipating and helping to plan for their future needs.

  • Develop relationships with external firms and individuals with clients who have insurance and risk management needs that could be serviced by Gallagher.

  • Build and leverage relationships with carriers to understand their solutions relative to client needs and factors that determine commission and fees.

  • Proactively stay abreast on industry and market trends that impact prospects and clients, and maintain expertise in core coverage lines, risk management and products to address their needs.

  • Develop proposals, contracts and renewal agreements by coordinating efforts of Gallagher Client Service Operations.

Qualifications

The Successful Candidate Should Possess :

  • Significant consultative B2B sales experience in the Energy industry
  • Demonstrated success in developing new business as well as maintaining an existing customer base.
  • Bachelor's degree is highly desired ; High School Diploma/GED Required. Some of the Desired Work Traits Are :

  • Acts independently with minimal direction

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a team-selling environment
