ASSOCIATED ELECTRIC COOP Associate Energy Analyst in SPRINGFIELD, Missouri
The Springfield Headquarters is seeking applicants for an Associate Energy Analyst position in the Engineering and Operations Division. The Associate Energy Analyst is responsible for performing a variety of duties within the Transmission Services department, including the monitoring and reconciliation of inadvertent energy interchange with neighboring Balancing Authorities, verification of tie line val-ues for all of AECI's interconnections and reconciliation of transmission billing activities. This position works primarily with System Operations and Transmission Policy staff but also interacts closely with Power Marketing, other AECI divisions, and the position's counterparts at the member/owner GandTs, RTOs and other power companies.Job Responsibilities:Monitor and analyze daily and monthly inadvertent interchange balances as required by NERC. Coordinate with neighboring utili-ties to resolve scheduling discrepancies, verifying tie line values, and reconcile the accumulated interchanged energy values to end-of-month meter readings.Analyze energy accumulator values to interchange meter readings and identify and report significant anomalies.Prepare monthly transmission revenue billing information for submission to Accounting and Finance.Calculate monthly transmission system losses.Prepare and submit energy schedules for the untelemetered AECI loads located outside the AECI Balancing Authority area.Prepare and submit multiple regulatory reports pertaining to transmission data.Job Requirements:Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Business, or related field, or demonstrate equivalent experience.Demonstrate technical skills using Microsoft Office suite, with an emphasis on Excel.Demonstrate ability to retrieve data from multiple sources, then analyze and assimilate that data, with strong attention to detail.Obtain and maintain proficiency with energy accounting software, electronic tagging, and SCADA system used in daily reconciliation activities.Obtain and maintain proficient knowledge of transmission tariffs and organized market operations.
