POSITION SUMMARY This is an entry to mid-level energy analyst position responsible for performing specialized analytical services. ROLE DESCRIPTION Compile and interpret utility-related energy data and respective databases. Compile standard and customized reports on electric, gas, water, sewer and other utility and energy data. Track service type, vendor, location, rate and energy load, including kW and kWh by month or invoice cycle and by fiscal year in order to support regular monthly reporting. Report anomalies regarding kWh usage on hourly, daily and weekly schedules, cost analysis against division budgets. Support budget development by utilizing site, consumption, cost and forecast information for baseline development and final deliverable. Assist with financial accrual, variance, and trending analysis reporting. Use analytical abilities to determine and identify trends in expense and usage data. Assist in searching for regulatory issues. Facilitate energy trending and benchmarking process for clients. Locate and evaluate sites that are not within the clients standard profile for energy use and/or cost and report these outliers to appropriate client personnel. Generate situation-specific reports and perform related investigative analysis. Gather historical energy data, process and record contract data into AviTrack. Contribute to the continuous process improvement for the analyst services provided. ROLE COMPETENCIES Bachelors degree in Business, Accounting, Finance or Engineering preferred.
