As an Energy Projects Manager, you will be responsible for developing and implementing projects that help us conserve energy across our global facilities. This candidate will need to work cross-functionally with many different stakeholders to integrate energy management concepts into existing and new facilities, monitor building energy use to identify energy saving opportunities, execute against energy reduction goals, and ensure the integrity of energy data. The candidate will identify, develop and execute energy projects and initiatives. Projects may involve energy efficiency, demand response, energy procurement, energy data management, storage and self-generation. The candidate will analyze and report on performance metrics, complete feasibility analysis and evaluate potential savings opportunities in the energy space. The candidate will work as part of an integrated team to implement energy program requirements and achieve results. Responsibilities Support the development and execution of a comprehensive energy efficiency strategy Work with diverse stakeholders to develop, coordinate, and implement strategies to reduce, monitor, and "green" Amazon's energy consumption Provide subject matter expertise around mechanical systems, building management systems and energy efficient systems and equipment Manage projects against plans and objectives to ensure commitments are met, delivering against cost savings goals Use analytical tools to evaluate the performance of, and make recommendations for, energy systems and equipment Prepare written analysis of findings and recommendations for various energy-related solutions Manage multiple, complex projects simultaneously Build relationships with external suppliers and partners, and with internal stakeholders Basic Qualifications Bachelor's degree in engineering or relevant experience 8+ years of experience working in energy efficiency/management Experience and proficiency in project management Strong working knowledge of demand-side energy analytics and management (e.g., building operations, building management systems, self-generation, etc.) Strong analytical and commercial skill set to review utility tariffs, energy projects and power contracts Experience and proficiency in energy and building management systems Ability to interpret, analyze, and help build project financial models Energy auditing or commissioning experience Experience in Measurement and Verification (M&V) Techniques Knowledge of data collection and analysis methods Exceptional verbal and written communication skills in English. Preferred Qualifications Advanced degree (MBA, MS) preferred CEM (certified energy manager) certification Professional Engineer (P.E.)
