This position is the leader of St. Josephs Environmental Committee, Zero Waste to Landfill initiatives, water/energy reductions, and assures that the requirements of NEMS, ISO 14001, and the Nestl Purina Environmental Program is implemented throughout the facility.Primary Responsibilities:Lead energy and environmental efforts within an NCE framework ensuring focused priorities, aligned and visible measures, result focused continuous improvement and problem solving, aligned teamwork and effective communicationMaintain ISO 14001 CertificationKnowledge of Ammonia Refrigeration Program (ARM)Factory Environmental Committee (FEC) FacilitatorSite Emergency contact and Incident Commander for emergency evolutions such as diesel spill, odor incident, etc.Ensure compliance and efficiency of utilities including steam, refrigeration, water supply, waste water, compressed air, HVAC, water treatment program and other utilitiesAdministrate waste disposal contracts, (scarp meat, slurry, sludge, solid waste, hazardous waste, recyclables)Permit renewals and complianceSite liaison to Division Energy and Environmental staff ensuring communication and alignment. Liaison to local authorities, neighbors and community regarding site environmental aspects/impacts and complaintsEnergy, water and waste usage reporting, budgeting, and invoicingProject management within responsible areas of as assignedProvide environmental review of capital projectsEnvironmental reporting and feels (internal and external)Perform other specific duties as assigned or directed by the Engineering ManagerPerform all other duties as assigned.VEVRAA Federal ContractorRequest Priority Protected Veteran ReferralsEOE -Veteran /Disabled/Minority/AA/F/M/SO
