The Position ICF s Energy Efficiency practice is experiencing growth and has an immediate opening for a part -time consultant in our Regina office. We are looking for a highly-motivated individual with a personal interest in energy efficiency and the potential to address some of society s most challenging issues through more efficient and intelligent use of energy. The successful candidate will be a capable individual who desires to work as an integral member of our energy efficiency team. The successful candidate will possess strong organizational skills, strong technical and analytical capabilities, combined with good communication and interpersonal skills. Areas of responsibility will include but are not limited to the following: * Lead facility energy audits (ASHRAE Level I, II, and III) to assess the technical and economic viability of energy efficiency opportunities * Play the role of senior advisor on custom energy retrofit projects in the commercial sector * Provide guidance on building technology energy use, savings, and retrofit potential in industrial and commercial sectors, and capital and installation cost modelling for capital projects under $100,000 * Maintain and update program management databases and tools (including data entry and manipulation) * Assist with marketing efforts for Alberta s Business, Non-Profit, and Institutional Rebate program * Assist in the planning, co-ordination, and management of demand-side management program delivery * Assist in the preparation of proposals and other business development activities * Assist in the development of energy auditing methodologies, enhancing existing job aids, and establishing operational benchmarking databases * Travel is required


Qualifications * Bachelor s degree in engineering or science * Minimum 5 years of experience in the energy industry * P.Eng. and/or CEM * Other recognized credentials such as LEED and CMVP would be an asset * Excellent understanding of commercial building technologies (HVAC, Boilers, Pumps, Lighting) * Team player with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment * Flexible and adaptable * Manage in-person discussions involving multiple stakeholders with varying motives * Strong communication skills (written and oral) * Proficiency in MS Office Applications (Word, PowerPoint, Excel), with an emphasis on strong spreadsheet skills * A valid driver s license

Preferred Skills/Experience * Consulting experience * Previous experience with installing / commissioning mechanical systems * Previous experience with writing proposals and/or technical reports * Able to be flexible to handle multiple priorities and to work limited overtime as needed * Previous experience in managing engagements with turnarounds between 1 week and 3 months
