Job Summary

Manage the Landfill Gas to Energy Facility to maximize production,while ensuring safe work practices, environmental compliance, timelymaintenance, compliance with contracts, and coordination with the landfillmanagement and operations.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

This job will consist of approximately 20% hands-on engine work, 40% of plant maintenance, 40% administrative tasks (creating reports, safety items, vendor management, etc). The function of these plants is to vacuum and compress gases from the landfill and compress it into CAT engines to produce kilowatts. The ideal candidate will have a strong mechanic background, he/she will have worked with diesel engines and compressors (maintenance, taking them apart, putting them back together), and will have strong electrical aptitude / knowledge.


  • Completed High School Diploma or equivalent.

  • 3 years of relevant work experience diagnosing and repairing internal combustion engines and cooling systems.

  • Must have valid driver’s license

  • Must be bilingual in English and French.

  • Strong mechanical background / experience working with diesel engines strongly preferred.

  • Good electrical or electromechanical knowledge
