Perkins Coie LLP is seeking an attorney with a minimum 4 years of experience in environmental and natural resources law to be based in Perkins Coie's Portland, Oregon office but working with the Environment, Energy, & Resources and other practice groups nationwide. Required experience includes environmental/natural resources litigation, permitting, environmental compliance and enforcement. Experience in CERCLA litigation, citizen suit defense, toxic tort litigation, and permit challenges will be an asset.
Required for consideration are 4 years of relevant legal experience, which could include judicial clerkship experience. Also required is an excellent law school performance, a strong educational background, significant writing experience demonstrated by law review/journal/clerkship experience, and excellent references. The successful candidate must demonstrate the potential to independently manage client relationships and matters and the desire to develop client and referral relationships. The candidate should demonstrate the ability to be a team player, and superior interpersonal and communication skills are preferred.
