CPM is a department within the College of Continuing Education at the University of Oklahoma. We provide public sector agencies, staff, service providers, clients and community partners training, research and consultant support for professional and programmatic development. We deliver cost-effective, customer-oriented solutions that are tailored to meet unique needs and situations.

CPM seeks temporary employees to assist with a short-term project from July 10 through September 15, 2017. Day and evening job opportunities are available for Energy Program Assistants to be responsible for providing support services and registering applications for the Low Income Energy Assistance Program (LIHEAP).

Job functions include:

document and/or update information in the computer system and program databases

screen, examine and verify documents for correctness, appropriateness, adequacy and conformity to established requirements and follow up on requests or discrepancies

on-going data entry of applications into statewide database system

assist in securing needed information and documents

perform other relevant duties as required by the program.

The Energy Program Assistant must be responsible, able to handle confidential information and work independently.

Day and Evening job opportunities include:

1st shift - 8:00 AM-4:30 PM, Monday through Friday (minimum of 6 hours within shift)

2nd shift - 4:30 AM-11:00 PM, Monday-Tuesday-Wednesday-Friday (minimum of 4 hours within shift)

Qualifications--

Required Education: High school diploma/GED OR an equivalent combination of education/job related experience

Skills:

Ability to speak, ready and write clear, concise English

Basic computer skills

Detail-oriented for accuracy of data and information

Ability to handle confidential information

Certifications:

None

Advertised Physical Requirements:

Ability to engage in repetitive motions including movement of the fingers, hands and wrists; finger dexterity required.

Ability to speak, hear and see as needed to exchange information with others and view computer screens and databases

Department Preferences:

Associate's degree or post-secondary training

12 months experience performing clerical functions in an office/service organization setting

Experience with data entry

Ability to navigate modern office computer systems and equipment

Experience with human/social service organizations

Supervision: None
