Trane in Albany, New York is hiring an Energy Contracting Account Executive! This very specialized individual will focus on Comprehensive Solutions or Performance Contracting initiatives throughout upstate NY, offering Trane's wide breadth of services to our clients to save them money and energy.

Job Summary:

As Energy Contracting Account Executive with CT Trane , you will be responsible for identifying new business as well as developing long-term customer relationships while maximizing account penetration and customer retention with building owner accounts. In addition, you will provide knowledge and consultation by developing HVAC system related solutions for our customer’s problems.

Responsibilities:

Strategic Account Management

  • Provides knowledge and consultation in the form of developing HVAC system related solutions for the customer’s problems, including financial and performance-based considerations
  • Consistently ascertains customer needs and current market opportunities.
  • Assembles and coordinates acquisition team as needed for customers and projects.
  • Converts leads into opportunities by financially qualifying the customer and assigning the appropriate sales process, identifying the required sales team members and outside consultants, making assignments, and communicating the next steps in the process.
  • Identifies and develops multiple relationships in the customer’s organization with economic buyers (e.g. CFO, Director of Finance, etc.) and buying influences including facility directors, project managers, project engineers, construction, and purchasing.
  • Gathers or validates preliminary information and performs facility walk-through to determine level of opportunity.
  • Follows up with economic buyers and/or buying influences, as appropriate.
  • Provides knowledge and consultation in the form of developing facility-related solutions for the customer’s problems, including financial and performance-based considerations.
  • Consistently ascertains customer needs and current market opportunities.
  • Manages tasks associated with complex sales cycles.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, business or related discipline preferred.
  • The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 4-10 years of solution sales experience with a focus on energy-driven solutions related to commercial HVAC and Building Automation systems.
  • Must have a proven track record of developing and closing net new business
  • Must have strong presentation skills and demonstrated experience pricing systems for customers
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office products
