Schreiber Foods Energy Systems Technician in MOUNT VERNON, Missouri
Must follow Good Manufacturing Practices and good housekeeping guidelines. Must follow safety guidelines, wear designated Personal Protective Equipment, and meet OSHA safety requirements. This position is responsible to perform downtime preventative maintenance and repairs on plant equipment, Oversee all NH3, air compressor HVAC and boiler system repairs, modifications, troubleshooting, etc. Additionally this position will administer the Process Safety Management (PSM) program to ensure OSHA compliance and administer and head Hazwoper drills and Confined Space Programs. Essential duties:1)Execute required regulatory reports-Form R, Tier ll, EIQ, Effluent, pH, WPDES, Boiler Inspection, Back flow preventers, and SWPPP.2)Attend and contribute to regular cross-function team meetings including : NH3 meetings, and production meetings.3)Be an active member of Emergency Action Plan and execute the PSM plan.4) Ensure up time of equipment by performing preventive maintenance and repairs on plant equipment.5)Perform electrical duties and assist mechanics on assigned shifts.6)Any and all other duties as assigned by the Maintenance Team Advisor/Leader. 7) Must be readily available to respond to calls at home from the ISACC monitoring systems.8) Perform all scheduled maintenance on NH3 compressors, HVA Systems, Air Compressors, and Boilers.9) Must be able to read/understand PLC logic and electrical control schematics. EDUCATION Required - High School Diploma/G.E.D. Must know basic electricity and electronics including three-phase and single-phase controls, ladder diagrams, low-voltage relay logic, digital and analog electronics, microprocessors, single line diagrams, electrical schematics and power distributions. Must understand the use of hand tools and power tools used by mechanics including lathe, milling machine and AC, DC and heli-arc welding equipment. Must know personal computer systems and operations. Must have a valid Missouri Operators' license and an acceptable driving record as defined by vehicle operating guidelines. Must be able to use proper lifting techniques in order to work in a safe manner. Must be familiar with NEC,OSHA, EPA and other regulatory guidelines and practices. Must be able to successfully program, trouble shoot and repair, but not limited to, checkweigher, scales, Panel View, A/B series 5 PLC, instruments and other electrical/electronic equipment. Must be able to operate all equipment in department of assignment. Must be able to work around ammonia systems, acid systems, steam systems, high voltage, and know the safeguards against being accidentally exposed to fumes, live steam, and/or electrical shock. Must be able to wear safety shoes, hairnet, and hard hat at all times. Must be able to work varied schedules, long hours, and overtime. Must be able to travel to attend seminars and special training sessions. Must score 65 or above on the Bennett Mechanical Comprehension test. Must pass basic refrigeration, PLC, Compressed Air and Boiler tests. Must have/or pass Ammonia Refrigeration Operator 1 Class rating from Garden City College with 90 days of acceptance of job bid or first available class opening or job bidder will be disqualified.
