POSITION DESCRIPTION:

Build awareness and support amongst customers for procedural focus areas.

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Influence customers to transition attitudes towards specific portfolio area using evidence-based medicine.

  • Identify and develop key opinion leaders across customer groups for specific portfolio.

  • Influence the type of procedure chosen and work with MITG Sales Specialists and Business Development Managers to promote the use of MITG products.

  • Work with the sales and business development teams to implement programs for specific portfolio which will facilitate increased referrals and enhanced patient outcomes.

  • Keeping up to date on product knowledge and research in a constantly changing market due to technological/procedural change.

  • Develop in-service and training programs to educate practice personnel.

  • Assist with up-to-date documentation and contacts within customer accounts to enhance business relationships through effective account management.

  • Develop and facilitate in servicing of procedures and patient care to meet customers’ requirements.

  • Interactions with functional support areas such as Health Economics and reimbursement, the Asia Pacific Super Region, local ANZ sales managers, sales force, BDMs and PACE and the wider local Medtronic business unit portfolios such as RTG, CVG and Diabetes.

  • Be available for those customers who may require urgent assistance at times other than within regular business hours.

  • Organise and conduct ongoing education meetings and/or events.

  • Ensure activities comply with MITG’s and industry’s legal and ethical standards.

SPECIALIZED KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

  • Good understanding of the relevant disease state and treatment options

  • Running peer to peer Health Care Professional education events

  • Ability to assimilate and communicate the value for customers from published clinical papers

  • Relationships with KOLs managing patients with disease states.
