As an Inside Sales Consultant, you will identify and pursue inbound leads, addressing customers questions and meeting sales quotas of solar systems and energy efficiency services. You will drive a high volume of pipeline activity in order to meet or exceed monthly sales targets and will close deals and sign contracts via phone and online conference calls.

Make a high volume of outbound calls to prospective customers, engaging prospects in a discussion around the benefits of SolarCity s product
Act as project manager, developing a collaborative relationship with project and design teams throughout the project life cycle and serve as the primary point of contact with the customer
Utilize online tools to conduct preliminary system designs for customers, generate project proposals and quotes
Analyze customers current and projected electrical usage and financial return on investment
Must have or be able to obtain a Home Improvement Salesperson license through the California Contractors State Licensing Board (CSLB)
At least one year of full sales life cycle experience with a proven track record of success in a quota-driven environment; business to consumer experience is a plus. A four year college degree may be considered in lieu of experience
Proven ability to build and develop a book of business and experience projecting sales numbers
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, as well as customer service skills, are required
Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office, including basic Excel, is required
Demonstrated success as a self-starter with exceptional time and project management skills and a track record of adhering to firm deadlines
All candidates must be able to successfully pass a pre-employment criminal background check
