National Grid Analyst, Energy Risk and Modeling in Hicksville, New York

Position Responsibilities (including but not limited to):
Monitoring automated daily risk reporting and issue resolution; responsible for complete and accurate daily reporting of fixed price physical natural gas transactions to indices; creating, validating, and running valuation models for structured physical and financial Natural Gas, LNG, and Power contracts; monitoring Energy Risk control framework and daily risk control processes; working closely with traders verifying accuracy of the trading tickets and Allegro deal entries; preparing routine monthly and quarterly reporting of settlement and forward exposure values; coordinating risk management committee meetings and documentation requirements; analyzing and managing documentation of transaction strategies proposed by energy traders; managing deal locking/unlocking in Allegro according to the segregation of duty policies; performing daily verification and reporting of fixed price physical natural gas transactions to indices publication agencies; performing transaction con firmation process; collaborating with Manager of Qualitative Risk and Compliance in the development and implementation of risk policies/procedures; creating, validating, and running valuation models for structured physical and financial Natural Gas, LNG, and Power contracts; supporting counterparty credit exposure monitoring and margining; collaborating with Credit Operations to monitor credit limit violations and minimize credit risk; monitoring hedge and procurement strategies to identify risk areas and report to the appropriate risk management committees; and identifying new areas of exposure or requirement of new quantitative metrics to measure / monitor current risk exposures. Tools used include Excel, LACIMA, and ZEMA.

Qualifications:
Knowledge & Experience Required:
* Two years of experience related to financial reporting, valuation modeling, and regulatory compliance using Allegro Energy Transactions Risk Management System, LACIMA and ZEMA software packages for a public utility company.
* Master's in Finance or Accounting
