Energy Project Manager - Hawaii ANG, HI - 10300000387Summary Tetra Tech Inc. is currently seeking a full-time Energy Engineer/Professional to provide Energy Project Manager support to the Hawaii Air National Guard (HIANG) in Honolulu, Hawaii. The Energy Project Manager will work on site at client facilities to provide energy program and project coordination, and construction manager support on various federal projects. The Energy Project Manager will work on site at the customer's facilities at Joint Base Pearl Harbor-Hickam to provide comprehensive energy project services. You will identify energy conservation opportunities and help facilitate the implementation of projects, initiatives, and programs that reduce energy consumption and demand, save money, and help the environment. You will augment existing customer capabilities, work with both the customer and Tetra Tech in a team framework, and be an on-site action agent to facilitate energy and cost savings and attain federal and client goals. Primary duties will focus on providing on-site support of day-to-day activities during project development, design, and implementation, to include:and#149; Providing input to design of an ongoing distributed generation (DG) projectand#149; Providing on-site construction management support to government during DG project implementationand#149; Developing energy efficiency improvements for facilitiesand#149; Walking facilities daily to conduct energy audits, identify energy conservation opportunities, and develop projectsand#149; Developing renewable energy projectsand#149; Performing design reviewsand#149; Analyzing energy and utilities dataand#149; Recommending improvements to energy and utility procurement operations and maintenanceand#149; Working with Tetra Tech, state and federal agencies, and contractors to ensure energy projects are constructed according to plans and specifications, potentially including:o Daily work inspectionso Daily reports and photos to record work inspectedo Recommendation on rejection of materials or workmanship not conforming to contract requirementso Maintenance of project inspection records and reportso Maintenance of active list of construction and design deficiencies and omissions, indicating corrective statuso Technical review of and assistance with contract drawings, specifications, change order requests, contractor submittals, and requests for informationo Final inspection supporto Assistance with project closeout documentationand#149; Other related duties Qualifications The candidate is required to have 3 to 10 plus years of experience in electrical engineering, energy management, energy engineering, construction management for energy-related projects, or energy project management and coordination. Strong experience with energy auditing, project development, life-cycle cost analysis, direct digital controls, commissioning, and building/system optimization is desired. Knowledge of microgrids is highly desired. Previous experience working at Federal / Department of Defense facilities, particularly in Hawaii, is a plus.
