The Market Segment Manager (MSM) will be dedicated to Market Segments (geographic or sector).

The MSM will work with the MSL and Market Segment BDL and will be responsible for the following four key areas:

  1. Market Segment strategy and deployment

  2. Executing the AMF

  3. Effective utilization of all Market Segment knowledge and resource tools

  4. Strategic pursuits and opportunity management


Market Segment strategy and deployment:

• Developing and executing Market Segment strategy with the Market Segment team

• Collaborating with BMC to drive the execution of Market Segment initiatives, campaigns, thought leadership and networks to key target clients which includes teaming with Service Lines and sectors on specific Service Line/sector initiatives and campaigns

• Driving ECS in every external and internal encounter which includes:

• Being connected to your Market Segment and leveraging the global EY network to connect our clients to the right insights and thought leadership

• Being insightful through proactively sharing leading practices

• Executing market analysis and account segmentation/prioritization

• Teaming with the Market Segment team on pricing and margin growth strategy and initiatives

• Being involved in key external market events (e.g., EOY, ASQ/ESQ, GBB, networking events, etc.)

Executing the AMF:

• Developing and delivering strategies to enable robust account planning with account teams serving as a coach (Blue and Green Sheets, Social Style™)

• Facilitating account management sessions with Core account teams

• Developing and managing the ASQ/ESQ plan for selected Core accounts

• Driving action planning for “at risk” client account teams

• Delivering BD operations through analysis of pipeline to identify trends, gaps and drive Market Segment business

Effective utilization of all Market Segment knowledge and resource tools

• Leveraging the BMC team for your Market Segment

• Leveraging the knowledge team to provide market analysis and competitive intelligence

• Being the advisor around trends and issues across the Market Segment

Strategic pursuits and opportunity management:

• Coaching account teams on pursuit opportunities in the Market Segment where there is no assigned BDE

• Providing pursuit support for assigned Market Segment
