Overview / Responsibilities
Amec Foster Wheeler is currently seeking an Engineer (preferably mechanical) with interest and/or experience in the field of energy engineering to support our growing Energy Engineering Group in energy efficiency projects. Typical assignments will include energy auditing of mechanical, lighting and plumbing systems, identification of energy conservation measures, utility bill analysis, report preparation, and construction oversight. Some travel is required to perform facility audits and construction services. We currently work throughout the world including the continental United States, Italy, Germany, Guam, Japan and Hawaii.
Our office is located in Gainesville, Florida which has clean air, pristine water and is surrounded by abundant recreational opportunities on spring-fed rivers, in forests and quick access to the Gulf of Mexico, Atlantic Ocean and the Orlando area. This is the home of the University of Florida providing rich cultural resources, educational opportunities and sporting events in a progressive city.
Skills / Qualifications
•B.S. or M.S. in Engineering, Scientific Discipline, or related technical field
•1 - 2 years of related experience
•E.I.T. for engineers (preferred)
•Valid driver's license is required
•Travel and flexibility to work outside normal business hours as required
•Must be computer proficient
•Must pass drug test, background check, and must have a satisfactory driving record in accordance with the Company's driving (MVR) policy
