We are currently seeking an ESS Sales Engineer (Energy Storage System) to join our dynamic team in Englewood Cliffs, NJ as part of the ESS Team!
The successful candidate will have strong relationship building skills and outstanding communication skills at all levels of an organization. Additionally, the successful ESS Sales Engineer will have a strong strategic grasp of the market and will contribute to go to market strategy, as well as provide technical support during the sales cycle. The ESS Sales Engineer will be expected to provide actionable competitor intelligence and regular performance analysis to sales management.
PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Support identifying potential customers and assist with go to market activities
Lead technical design, configuration, and specifications for new opportunities
Work with developers, utilities, design engineers, etc in laying out projects with LG ESS as basis of design
Effectively train channel partners on LG ESS technology, installation
Effectively respond to customers’ questions related to LG ESS as well as solutions that include ESS (HEMS, etc.)
Assist local independent representatives in managing sales activities
Capture competitive information on products, pricing and sales programs
Assist in developing and executing business plans and marketing plans
Conduct energy modeling for LG versus competition
Tracking project status and following up
Manage relationships with design engineers, independent LG representatives and distributors, building owners, developers, and utilities.
A BS, ME or EE degree in a technical subject or equivalent related work experience.
Minimum of 5 years’ experience in the energy industry (PV, ESS, EMS) with strong industry network.
Sales Engineer experience in energy industry.
Willingness to pursue and attend additional training related to performance of job
Motivated and Self-Starter
Dynamic personality with great communication skills – both written and verbal
Ability to travel throughout the U.S.
