We are filling thisposition at an Associate, Associate II or Energy Efficiency Engineer level.Essential ResponsibilitiesProvide technical assistance to the Xcel EnergyMarketing and Sales organizations. Perform the day-to-day engineering inassigned technical areas. Construct analyses in the technical-financial modelsthat meet the state regulatory and corporate guidelines.Provide guidance,training and education to internal staff, Xcel Energy Marketing and Sales,customers and trade allies on technology issues. Responsibilities includeconsulting with customers on program offerings, team with productdevelopment and program managers to improve and expand product and servicesofferings for conservation programs.Develop rapid but rigorous analyticalmodels based upon good engineering practice and the methodological directionof other Technical Consulting staff. Learn job responsibilities as well asrules / guidelines (both regulatory and internal) from TechnicalConsultants, Senior Technical Consultants, and Team Lead TechnicalConsultant for assigned programs.Develop and maintain Xcel Energy'stechnical knowledge in specific assigned area for gas or electric conservationprograms (HVAC, lighting, compressed air, energy efficient buildingconstruction, motors, controls, industrial processing, boilers,furnaces, recommissioning). This position will be a resource in theassigned area.Leverage internal expertise to customer advantage by developingrelationships with external networks of engineering and architectural firms,government agencies, industry associations and research firms.
