As an Account Manager, you will participate in a team consisting of Sales/Account Executives and Servicing Account Managers in coordinating and providing IMA services to our commercial clients.
Process all policies, endorsements, etc.
Working in conjunction with the Servicing Account Manager, you will have responsibility for account servicing needs during the policy year including: binders, certificates, auto ID cards, filings, ordering endorsements, etc.
Accountability for maintaining account files including Sagitta database, core files and transactional files
Assist in risk and exposure analysis and complete renewal process
Request loss runs from insurance carriers
Prepare and/or update premium and loss summary on system
Prepare account review according to standards set forth by the IMA Commercial workflow
Coordinate time frames with Servicing Account Manager
Verify and reconcile accuracy of premiums and commissions
Set and maintain follow-up for final audits on expired and/or non-renewed policies
Communicate to Account Managers regarding the account review information and the bind coverage information in conjunction with workflow standards
Process audits and update exposure comparison
Support the team by participating in the completion of all duties required to complete a project and service an account
At least three years of similar or related experience
A Bachelor’s Degree preferred, or education equivalent to a degree
Excellent written and communication skills
Courtesy, tact and diplomacy as much of the work involves personal contact with others inside and/or outside the organization
Strong mathematical abilities and reasoning skills
The ability to interpret insurance documents
The ability to handle and prioritize multiple tasks
Expertise and familiarity with Excel, rates, ratios, percentages, discounts and commissions
A Property & Casualty license for the state of business and will fulfill continuing education requirements to retain licensing
Strong computer proficiency with Microsoft Office products and other programs
The willingness to complete additional duties and take on additional responsibilities as the need arises
