The purpose of this position is to enthusiastically represent the Energy Hub brand at retail events. The Ambassador position personifies the Energy Hub brand by bringing passion through educating consumers on energy usage, energy goals and actively engages consumers to view this as a valuable and trusted resource for them. The ambassador will be responsible for driving consumer actions such as purchasing energy efficient products/services, participate in a utility rebate program or recycling initiative, and/or start to make simple changes such as washing in cold water or running appliances when the cost of energy is lower. This position will also be responsible for collecting data and reporting data via a web-based portal.


  • High School Diploma

  • College Degree preferred

  • Minimum 2 year work experience interacting directly with consumers in customer service, retail, marketing, or sales (or similar role that would provide equivalent experience). Event marketing experience a plus.

  • Experience in solar (Go Solar), energy education, climate change initiatives, utility energy programs and rebates, home energy efficiency programs (Home Upgrade Program), national energy programs (Energy Star, Better Buildings), conservations programs (Save Our Water) or education/outreach is considered a plus.

  • Must be able to stand for long periods of time, up to 6 hours with limited breaks and 8 hours with meal break or ability to perform with accommodation.

  • Must possess excellent interpersonal, verbal, presentation and written communication skills.

  • Must be flexible and able to adapt to changes

  • Ability to handle various circumstances and people with tact and patience.

  • Must be able to manage change and unpredictability with a positive and utmost professionalism.

  • Conducts in store and out of store events to include but are not limited to; consumer intercept, parking lot events, and conducting workshop/demonstrations

  • Conducts workshops or otherwise demonstrate energy efficient products, services, and technologies on the sales floor to consumers to increase product awareness.

  • Demonstrates to sales associates how to showcase the benefits of the BYOT program.

  • Conducts other special events as requested

  • Builds relationships with consumers and engages store associates; serves as a knowledgeable source for information on BYOT.

  • Engages and leads consumers through a process designed to capture interest, provide education and drive action.

  • Provides data and feedback about events through call reports daily.

  • Attends conference calls, as required.

  • Other tasks and activities as requested by management
