Responsibilities

Primary Responsibility:

The purpose of this position is to lead the efforts of the Distributed Facilities Maintenance and Engineering teams throughout Americold.

Essential Functions:

  1. Centrally direct company’s holistic maintenance and facilities management programs across the global fleet of 161 sites and over 300 maintenance technicians.

  2. Maintain a high degree of operational readiness and facility uptime while delivering on key metrics like: 85% PM completion rate, 90% planned work percentage, <10% position vacancy rate, 99% temperature compliance rate.3. Act as the Focus Area Champion of AOS and lead the Facilities, and Energy Excellence Focus areas.4. Manages all Regional Facility Services Directors, Compliance team members, as well as Corporate Engineering Support staff to include Reliability, SAP Plant Maintenance, Energy Management5. Develops and implements Americold’s maintenance strategy to drive down short term and long term costs of maintenance, increasing asset reliability while decreasing maintenance cost structure.6. Develops and deploys strategies to train field Facility Services Management members to increase the skill and competencies of this critical position.7. Serves as the accountable leader for the $18MM maintenance budget and the $40MM annual capital budget development and execution.8. Partners with Operational Regional VP’s, District Directors and General Managers to deploy comprehensive facilities and maintenance strategies.9. Deploys and manages team to maintain the OSHA PSM/EPA- RMP programs at the sites.10. Manages Energy conservation execution programs to drive down costs of energy execution.11. Other duties as required.

Develop comprehensive training program for FSM and technician staff to increase MHE, Refrigeration and facilities maintenance execution skills.3. Lead AOS Maintenance and Energy Excellence Definition and adoption in the business

Qualifications

Qualifications & Experience:

Education, Training & Professional Experience:• 15 years of progressive experience with a multi-location distribution, manufacturing or service industry operation• Bachelors of Science Degree (Graduate degree preferred) in Engineering, Operations management, Maintenance, or related field. MBA preferred• Experience in managing a large distributed staff of over 150 associates• Must poses the ability to lead and motivate others to achieve planed results• Experience in negotiation of service requirements and contracts with a variety of risk control service providers or third party administrators• Familiar with Reliability Centered Maintenance process to establish the safe minimum levels of maintenance. (SAE JA1011)• Familiar with current best practices for evaluating energy cost savings projects (Federal Energy Management Program's Measurement and Verification Guidelines (FEMP M&V) or similar))• Proficient computer skills including experience in MS Office, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint
